Baccalaureate and/or Cambridge tests taken by all students at a school in 2007 divided by the number of graduating seniors. All of the schools on the list have an index of at least 1.000; they are in the top 5 percent of public schools measured this way.

Central Florida’s Polk County is Food Capital of Sunshine State

We are the corporate headquarters for Publix Super Markets, which has an 8,200-employee, 5-million square-foot operation in Lakeland. Publix employs 120,000 associates in five states and enjoys annual sales of $18 billion. Publix has been in Polk County since 1930. 863-688-1188

Coca-Cola recently constructed its largest juice plant in the world in Auburndale. The $120 million plant is 660,000 square feet. Simply Orange Juice is produced at the Polk County facility. 863-551-3700
