CareerSource Polk Honors Best Places to Work, Discusses Generations in the Workforce

August 15, 2024 News

CareerSource Polk has been honoring the Best Places to Work in Polk County for the last 20 years. On Aug. 15 it continued the tradition while also highlighting the opportunities offered by having multiple generations in the workforce.

CareerSource Polk is a private, nonprofit administrator of workforce funds. This year’s theme, “The TALK,” included a conversation with five generations of workers at the organization’s annual meeting at the RP Funding Center.

Always offering something creative at the breakfast banquet, Stacy Campbell-Domineck, President & CEO of CareerSource Polk, presented “The TALK” from CSPN Studios – or CareerSource Polk Network.

“It’s clear that our workplaces are more diverse than ever before, not just in terms of culture and background, but also in terms of age,” Campbell-Domineck said. “Today, we have up to five generations working side by side, each bringing unique perspectives, skills and experiences to the table.

“From the seasoned wisdom of the Traditionalists and Baby Boomers to the innovative spirit of Millennials and Gen Z, our goal today is to explore how these generational differences can be harnessed to create a more dynamic, inclusive and productive work environment.”

The session was hosted by Kelvin McCree of Laser Focused Solutions
