The City of Bartow serves as the county seat for Polk County. Founded in 1851 the city has a rich history and is often called the “city of oaks and azaleas”. Bartow encompasses the economy of phosphate production with citrus and cattle, some staples of Polk County. The city also boasts many businesses that encompass and contribute to the economic prosperity of its town. These businesses selected the area due to affordable and high-quality living, to flourish and expand their doors. The city is expected to continue its economic growth noting to businesses that “Bartow is the right place at the right time”.
