The City of Lakeland is home to some 100,000 people, conveniently located off I-4 between Tampa and Orlando. The city provides an array of activities to its residents from the Downtown District, Polk Museum of Art, Sun-n-Fun International Fly-In & Expo, and the largest on-site collection of Frank Lloyd Architecture at Florida Southern College. A tourist destination, logistics, and a retiree haven remain economic drivers to the community as its growth continues. Rapid growth in trade and transportation also remain important factors as the economy continues to mature.
